The Savvy Negotiator™ Workshop Part Two
This highly interactive two day workshop is the second part of a two part workshop designed to (1) improve participants’ negotiation skills; (2) the negotiated outcomes they produce; (3) and your return on investment. Approximately 70% of the workshop is devoted to participants preparing and executing negotiation strategies to deal effectively with challenging situations. To maximize learning, these negotiations are then debriefed.

Those who have attended Part I and establish negotiation policy & goals, supply chain managers, and those who negotiate and or manage the organization’s important:
- Purchase and Sale Agreements
- Resource Allocations; e.g. Program and Project Managers
- Technology & Intellectual Property Licensing
- Outsourcing Agreements
- Joint Ventures & Strategic Alliances
In this workshop we build on the examination and discussion of the negotiation process we began in Part I. In Part II, we drill deeper into strategy and tactics including a detailed examination of how to:
- Work with stakeholders to develop goals and opening positions that facilitate winning
- Use created value to maximize your outcome
- Develop and use power and leverage
- Neutralize your opponent’s power and leverage
- Negotiate effectively in cross cultural settings
- Deal with difficult people and situations
- Develop a concession plan that minimizes what you have give to advance your interests
- Capitalize on negotiation’s micro moments
- Manage the negotiation team and their assignments
- Deal with cognitive barriers to effective communication
These techniques are integrated into the negotiation process discussed and developed in Part I. Participants are challenged to apply these negotiation techniques to difficult cases. These cases, like the simulated negotiations in Part I, are taken from real negotiating situations.
